The Heathrow Association for the Control of Aircraft Noise (HACAN) has teamed up with University College London (UCL) to focus on areas under flight paths and close to Heathrow to produce a communal noise map. We are asking local residents to record their personal exposure to noise using the new smartphone application Widenoise, which makes noise mapping really easy. The idea is that this tool gives communties something they can do themselves to combat fears around noise pollution. Get in contact with us if you want to find out more:

You can download Widenoise from the Apple App Store and the Android Marketplace, and then sample the noise around you and submit your results right from the app.
